Lulu was sexually abused as a seven year old by an unknown person. As a young teenager her step father used serious physical/emotional/mental abuse and threatened to rape her, to make the mother comply to his abusive demands. |

Siblings, six and seven, abused by a stranger

The above hand written tag came directly from a survivor of child sexual abuse. I spent some time with the survivor and this is part of her story: Her younger brother and herself were both “molested” by an unknown assailant. When the children told their mother, their mother acted protectively but the perpetrator could neither be identified or caught. Sadly, the brother never had the opportunity to reach full healing and integration of his pain. He completed suicide as a direct result of his childhood trauma and confusion. May he rest in peace and may his sister know that we understand how important the healing journey and prevention of child sexual abuse is.
