He abused me.

I know he abused you too.

 Why did you send me to stay with him?

 These are the truths unspoken between us, this is the question I have never asked you.

 These are the words that lie in the silences between words, so that when we talk, we do not talk.

 So do not ask me why I am so distant.

    Hi Forgotten, your mention of being distant is very interesting. In families where incest occurs there is usually attachment problems as well. Trauma often constipates our ability to have close relationships. You may want to read up on Attachment difficulties so that you break the pattern with your own kids.
    Thank you for your bravery in joining the Teddy Tour and having your voice heard. You have helped and healed many other survivors.
