The Teddy Tour of Imaginif and All for Women
Both Megan (Imaginif) and Leigh (All for Women) are dedicated to ensuring a world where survivors of child sexual abuse are not forgotten or heard.
This is the story of our tour:
Megan is a social worker who has specialised in child sexual assault and protective behaviours. She has been involved in physical Teddy Tours for a number of years. Difficult to organise without funding and hard to get enough donated teddies to represent each person (prevelance stats suggest one in three people are sexually assaulted as children) who has been sexually assaulted, Megan got to thinking about better ways of doing it all.
When Megan and Leigh met through their blogging and forum activities, both knew they had met another person with the dedication and compassion needed to reach a HUGE number of people. A blogospheric Teddy Tour was formed as a sistership activity between Imaginif and All for Women.
Male or female, young or old, no matter where you live in the world, if you were sexually assaulted or abused as a child then this Teddy Tour is for you.

We will put your tag on a teddy and publish a photo of it. We will also scan and upload your story tag too so that everyone can read YOUR story and hear YOUR voice in your writing. Please note, that any identifying information will be removed. Use a fictitious name for yourself and your perpetrator. We trust you to be discreet and we will not accept any legal or social responsibility for your allegations. If you were abused by more than one perpetrator (this is very common and there is no shame in it for you - just shame for the perpetrators) then you are welcome to fill in more than one tag.
Megan will market, market, market your voices so that the sound of silenced survivors travels through the blogosphere and makes people stop and listen to the pain and humilitation that is heaped upon our children.
Together, this Teddy Tour can help stop child sexual assault. We cannot do it without you though. Please help us, help survivors all over the world.
